…to do EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY above all we could ever ask or imagine, according to HIS power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
“Getting my MBA” was always a distant dream that I never thought about much… I always thought it would be nice but never thought it would actually happen. Then one day I received a phone call and was offered a temp job that opened the door for where I am now… all by the grace and direction of my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. When people say that God allows us to choose within His realm of a plan for our lives, I think to a point that is true. He certainly allowed me to go to Biola University for a year, which I am forever grateful, but He then also changed my heart to come back home and has strategically guided my steps and has gone before me with every job since then.
People always asks what comes next after school; What jobs are you going to apply for? Where are you going next? Are you furthering your education more? Doctorate anyone? To which I reply, I’m not sure. You see, I know that I am right where God wants me for now… that could change, and I am certainly open to the possibilities and ready to go wherever He sends me…but for now I am content in His will, confident He will guide me each step of the way.
Like Abraham, God doesn’t always tell us where He is taking us, He simply asks us to follow Him to a place He will show us, in His timing. Are we actively living a life of prayer, and exercising evangelism? Are we striving to serve our Savior and draw others to Him? Are we discipling and mentoring those that God puts in our life for His purpose? We are called to “Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you” Matthew 6:33.
I have so much to be grateful for, I am so blessed and so thankful for this chance to expand my learning and strive to make a difference in the lives of others. The prayer of my heart is to make my Savior proud…
