Holding Fast to Hope…

Hebrews 10:23~”Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful”

Oh how comforting these words are…every time I doubt, every time I get discouraged when I’m unsure about what the future holds, I am reminded to hold fast to hope because HE who promised is FAITHFUL! God knows the deepest desires of our hearts. When we pray and ask for Him to align those desires with His will He will!

I just finished the book “Heaven is for Real” this week… and my ONLY regret is that I didn’t read it sooner… oh how powerful is the faith of a child! I remember in one chapter the mom sees a beautiful rainbow and doesn’t recall that it had even rained, she calls the rest of the family outside to witness this glorious sight and Colton says, very matter of fact, “Yeah, I prayed for a rainbow yesterday, I hadn’t seen one in a long time so I prayed for God to send one and He did”… WOW! Do I have that faith? Or am I praying with a hint of doubt in the back of my mind? I want to be like the man Jesus spoke to who said, “Help me in my unbelief”. I want to stand on the promises I KNOW to be true and not let the doubts of satan get in the way… I want to hold fast to this hope because HE who promised is FAITHFUL!

He has promised to never leave me or forsake me~Hebrews 13:5

He has promised to give me the desires of my heart when I delight in Him~Psalm 37:4

He has promised to work everything together for good to those who love Him and to those who are the called according to His purpose~Romans 8:28

He has promised to do exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us to ALL generations~Ephesians 3:20-21

He has promised to COME BACK! 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

and so much more…

I am so beyond thankful to have a Savior who hears the prayers of my heart, He may not always answer them in the ways I expect…but His plan is ALWAYS better than mine and I am ever so grateful.Image
