Wow! The last few weeks have been absolutely awe inspiring. While difficult and stretching, I have been reminded how MASSIVE, GIGANTIC, HUGE, and altogether INDESCRIBABLE my God truly is. And yet He cares for me…it blows my mind!
I had the opportunity to go to Senior Camp and had a cabin full of ladies who were thirsty for answers, talking late into the night with them was one of my favorite activities during the week-sleep IS overrated when you get to talk about Jesus! I love to talk about the WHY of my faith because I think a lot of people assume that Christianity is just about faith, and while that is a HUGE part of it, we can certainly know WHY we believe WHAT we believe because God has given us science, creation, His Word, and so many other tools that allow us to see how true our faith is. I was talking to my spiritual friend Allie this morning and was reminded that while camp is important to share the gospel we are also called to disciple God’s children and point them to Christ. We must be striving to be like Christ. I have never had a sister and yet I have adopted so many over the last few years, older and younger because I want to learn from older sisters in Christ and teach what they have taught me to my younger sisters in Christ. This is the pattern Christ has called us to: 2 Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” I am so thankful for the people that God has put in my life the past 26 years who have taught me how to live for God and provided me with the materials to research my faith myself. I am called to do the same.
Don’t just stand there…stand AMAZED in His presence and teach others how truly INDESCRIBABLE our God is!
